Susan Thorne, BSc., MD, FRCSC, develops meaningful connections with each woman in her care so she can provide the most appropriate individualized attention at Broadview OBGYN in Ottawa, Ontario. She makes her patients comfortable and keeps them in control of their clinical treatment choices.
Dr. Thorne attended the University of Ottawa for her undergraduate degree. For both medical school and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, she attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Earning a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at the University of Toronto at St. Michael’s Hospital under Dr. Guylaine Lefebvre, she then returned to Ottawa to open a busy obstetrics and gynecology practice at Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Dr. Thorne is committed to providing and promoting minimally invasive surgery as well as medical and surgical treatment of advanced pelvic organ prolapse. She also has extensive clinical experience and interest in the treatment of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) and menopausal pelvic health. She offers MonaLisa Touch® treatments to manage GSM.
She’s also the Department Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
