What is EVOLENCE™?

EVOLENCE™ is made from one of nature’s most abundant building blocks – collagen. The company has perfected a technique by which organic collagen is purified and transformed to produce a compound that is safe, natural and capable of smoothing out wrinkles for longer than has previously been possible in common biodegradable injectable treatments.

It is a unique Glymatrix™ technology effectively mimics the action of the body’s own collagen – providing the strength and elasticity found in young skin yet breaking down slowly and naturally over time leaving no harmful residue.

How it works?

EVOLENCE™ is derived from the most ‘biocompatible’ sources. This means that we select collagen that most closely resembles human tissue and is therefore very unlikely to cause any adverse reaction or be ‘rejected’ by the body. The manufacturer uses the same biological source material that has been used in heart, dental and eye surgery for decades.

EVOLENCE™ is a technological breakthrough in correcting lines and wrinkles. EVOLENCE™ has an excellent safety profile. The injections produce some mild discomfort that is easily controlled with a local anesthetic. Meanwhile a few patients may experience mild swelling or itching for just a few days after injection.

How long do the effects of EVOLENCE™ last?

EVOLENCE™ restores the skin’s tone for a period of at least 12 months. This means repeat procedures may not be needed for at least a year – unlike other treatments that tend to need repeating 2 or 3 times a year. Most importantly, the visible effect of the improved facial contour is maintained throughout the 12 month period.

How does EVOLENCE™ remove wrinkles, lines and folds?

EVOLENCE™ is injected just below the skin surface, where it replenishes lost collagen and adds support to your skin’s own remaining collagen network. It restores shape and smoothes away wrinkles, lines and folds, quickly and effectively, to give your skin texture a soft even tone.

Is a pre-test necessary?

EVOLENCE™ is natural product and due to the GLYMATRIX™ technology it is able to mimic the properties of the natural collagen found in the skin. Therefore, while an allergic reaction is theoretically possible, it is extremely rare. Pre-testing is not a prerequisite to treatment with EVOLENCE™.

Can I have EVOLENCE™ treatment if I am pregnant or
breast-feeding?

The safety of treatment with EVOLENCE™ during pregnancy or breast-feeding has not been tested, and is therefore not recommended.

Can the treated area be exposed to sunlight or extreme cold?

During the first few days after treatment, exposure to extremes of temperature or to strong sunlight should be avoided to reduce the risk of inflammation. However, after this time you can go about your normal daily activities with no other treatment required.

What is the difference between BOTOX^® and fillers?

BOTOX^® relaxes the muscles which cause many facial lines and unwanted facial expressions.

Fillers like Perlane™, Restylane™, Radiesse® , EVOLENCE ™ and other products fill creases, redefine and fill lips, cheekbones or any skin defects.

Sometimes BOTOX^® Cosmetics is used in combination with fillers, in turn this will prolong the lasting effect of the filler and provide better cosmetic result.
